SUPER FEST
Football and Cheer Camp for All Abilities
2021 Super Fest Central Florida SATURDAY, FEB. 6, 2021 12pm ET/9am PT Location: Virtual* |
*Given the current COVID restrictions, 2021 Super Fest will be modified to be a video montage showcasing the best of Super Fest. The virtual event will feature a Welcome from Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, Co-Owner, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and remarks from Buccaneers Tight End, Cameron Brate, and Buccaneers Cheerleader, Kayla A. There will also be some football instructions and remarks from NFL players, NFL alumni, and more.
Super Fest is an inclusive football and cheerleading clinic and gameday experience held the day before the Big Game. Super Fest's purpose is to showcase inclusion and provide an opportunity for youth with developmental disabilities to participate together with their peers, be genuinely welcomed and made to feel a part of the football weekend. The skills based clinic culminates in a gameday experience with the national anthem, football players running through a cheerleading tunnel, football scrimmages, and cheer performances.
Every year, we have been fortunate to have had amazing support from local NFL teams, media outlets, businesses, disability agencies, hospitals, and community partners. For example, President George H. W. Bush (U.S. president who signed the American Disabilities Act into law) was our Honorary Chairperson in Houston. Please see the ESPN clips below which aired on their Sunday NFL coverage before the Big Game. And for more information about past years, please visit: South Florida (2020), Atlanta & Minnesota (2019), Minnesota (2018), Houston (2017), and San Francisco (2016).
